Choose to Soar

Finding ways to let your spirit soar to happiness and joy in life.

What makes your soul feel like it is on fire? What makes you feel like you are soaring high? Think about that, and then go do it as often as you can. We are all meant to feel our hearts beating with joy, to walk in love and to speak in kindness. We are meant to follow our souls in the ways that makes us feel alive and joyful. Sometimes we let obstacles get in our way.

We let pain stop us. Or fear. Or a lack of self-belief.

But we can start with small steps to embrace kindness to others and to ourselves. We can choose to find the joy in our every day lives and we can embrace love. We can take small steps towards the things that leave our spirits feeling like it is in flight, and the more we do that – the closer we will get at touching the sky. We will all eventually soar.  And once you feel the wind catch your spirit and lifting you up, grab those around you as well and pull them up with you. Not only do we want to soar, we want to help others get there as well.

Life is meant to be felt in joy, not just angst or pain. This can be a hard lesson for those with a chronic illness or those who suffer with other personal struggles. But we have to remember, that the life we have is what we have. It is a starting point, and every day is an opportunity to make the absolute most of it. Don’t waste your moments by not pursuing happiness.

Since I am older many things I have learned to overcome. Fear may happen but doesn’t stop me anymore. Pain I have to continue and work through the pain.

  2. Yvette, what beautiful thoughts! I agree that life should not be lived in fear! I too have chronic illness, and it is so easy to lock yourself away – but that is such a miserable way to spend your days. Finding passion and sharing love is so much better!

Thank you for this, I needed it. I’m still trying figure out what it is that makes my spirit soar and it falls difficult due to negative self-talk and feelings of helplessness. I’m on a journey to self discovery and I’m staying hopeful and determined to be where I want/need to be.

    1. You will get there 😉
